Your File Upload Experience Matters
Hey Demo,
File uploads require more feedback than other form fields, and work best when your users know what to expect.
They select a file, hit upload, and wait. Is it working? Should they refresh? They're not sure—so sometimes they just leave.
You don't want that, so here's three things that help:
- Show what's allowed—file types, sizes, and how many files
- Show progress while a file is uploading
- If something fails, show what went wrong and what to do next
These small details keep people moving forward instead of abandoning halfway through.
We've got practical guides on the Formspree blog for building file upload forms and using the HTML file input correctly.
If you're using file uploads in your forms, they're worth a quick review.
