Free Speed: Inline Micro-Images
Hey Demo,
Form pages load best when there's nothing slowing them down; especially not 800ms of requests for tiny background icons. If your high-traffic forms include decorative images or UI fragments, you might be able to speed them up for free.
A simple solution to this is to inline small assets (under 1–2 KB) directly in your HTML or CSS using Base64. It's a great fit for non-SEO elements like social icons, background textures, or checkmark sprites. Larger images like logos, product shots, photos should stay on the CDN and benefit from caching.
Use Lighthouse to measure before and after. You'll be surprised how much faster a page feels when it skips a few extra round trips.
Want to know which images are worth inlining? We've got you covered.
